At the turn of the century, Denny O'Moore travels from New York to Texas to surprise his brother Patrick, a silver mine owner, only to discover he's entangled with notorious Mexican bandit El Tigre. Denny meets Texas Ranger Joe Waldner, who suspects Patrick's involvement, and they're captured by El Tigre's henchmen. After escaping, Denny falls for Patrick's sweetheart, Carmel Alvarado, as they try to convince Patrick to leave El Tigre's gang.
