A young man, Eric, discovers he has god-like powers rooted in ancient Norwegian mythology while hiding in Norway's wilderness. After accidentally killing a teenager, Eric is arrested, but meets a sympathetic psychologist, Christine, who helps him uncover the truth. As the American embassy tries to extradite him, Eric and Christine go on the run, pursued by both Norwegian and American authorities, leading Eric to discover his true identity.
