Kumaran's life revolves around his mother Mahalakshmi, who was separated from her husband Eeshwar. Eeshwar becomes a renowned kickboxing trainer in Malaysia, while Mahalakshmi stays in Chennai and raises Kumaran. Kumaran falls in love with Mythili, but his life is turned upside down after his mother's death. On her deathbed, she asks him to meet Eeshwar, and Kumaran travels to Malaysia to reunite with his father. However, he finds his father with another wife and daughter, and Kumaran feels betrayed. Eeshwar trains a boxer named Anand, who betrays him and joins a rival team. Kumaran helps his half-sister with her love life and eventually wins the kickboxing championship. The movie ends with Kumaran seeing a final apparition of his mother looking at him proudly.
