In 1865, the Shogunate is weakening, but still powerful enough to punish its enemies. Izo, an assassin, is captured and crucified for killing dozens of Shogun's men. However, his rage allows him to travel through time to modern-day Tokyo, where he becomes one with the city's homeless. Izo transforms into a deadly killing machine, driven by his past trauma and fueled by a desire for revenge against those who wronged him.
