Bobby Miller, a 16-year-old boy, returns to his aunt Victoria's home after a decade-long absence, having fled his neglectful and selfish parents. He was taken away as a baby and raised by his aunt and her family, but his father later regained custody. Now, Bobby's aunt must choose between pursuing her writing career or helping him, as Bobby's dark past and dubious friendships threaten to engulf him.
