A former high school football star returns to his hometown of Fairhaven, a small Massachusetts fishing village, after a failed attempt to find success elsewhere. He reconnects with old friends Sam and Dave, who have settled into a mundane routine, and together they plan to inject some excitement into their reunion with Dave's estranged father's funeral.
