An "Americanized" woman and her Vietnamese mother, estranged since the end of the Vietnam war, are reunited after 22 years, rekindling a complex and bittersweet relationship.

Thousands of orphans and Amerasian children were brought to the US in 1975 as part of "Operation Babylift." The movie tells the story of Heidi Bub, a child who was separated from her Vietnamese mother at the war's end and reunited 22 years later.
