Cousin cousine background

Cousin cousine

At a wedding celebration for an elderly couple, two cousins initially meet, but as time passes, a strong bond forms between them, sparking suspicions among their spouses that their friendship may be something more.

A middle-aged husband, Ludovic, and his new wife, Karine, a landscape designer, lead a carefree life with his 16-year-old daughter Nelsa. Ludovic, a dance instructor, changes jobs frequently to avoid boredom. Karine, despite her beauty, struggles with insecurity due to her immaturity. Meanwhile, Pascal, a pharmaceutical salesman, and his wife Marthe, lead a typical middle-class life, but Pascal's philandering ways are well-known to Marthe. The two couples meet at a wedding, where Pascal and Karine have an affair, which is soon discovered by Ludovic and Marthe. As they bond over their spouses' infidelity, Ludovic and Marthe develop feelings for each other and eventually start an affair. The couples must navigate their complicated relationships and decide how to handle their new dynamics, especially since they are now part of each other's extended families.
