Two friends, Stanley and Oliver, try to have a peaceful evening by pretending to be out when their friends, the Laurels, come over. However, their plan is soon discovered, and they decide to go out to buy ice cream instead. While on their way, they rescue a woman named Kate from the river, who then blackmails them into supporting her, threatening to reveal that they tried to kill her if they don't comply.
