Twenty years ago, French actress Maria Enders' breakthrough role was in the play and movie "Maloja Snake", written by Wilhelm Melchoir. She played Sigrid, an 18-year-old in a lesbian relationship with a 40-year-old Helena. Maria has turned down the play's revival, citing personal reasons, but reconsiders after Wilhelm's unexpected death. She begins to regret her decision, particularly due to working with Jo-Ann Ellis as Sigrid, a self-destructive actress. The role also forces Maria to confront her professional relationship with her younger American assistant, Valentine, as they prepare for the play at Wilhelm's mountain retreat.
