Bud "Bomber" Graziano, a retired heavyweight champion, lives a peaceful life on a ship until he meets Jerry Cala', a trouble-prone Lombard punter. When Jerry gets into a bind with a group of thugs working for a new boxing champion, Bomber's passion for boxing is rekindled. He opens a gym for amateurs and trains a young prospect named George, but their winning streak is shattered when Rosco, a formidable boxer, knocks George out. Determined to protect his gym and protégé, Bomber decides to face Rosco in a final showdown.
