Black Snake background

Black Snake

A 19th-century Caribbean island is the backdrop for a gripping tale of a slave uprising, exploring themes of freedom, resistance, and the human spirit.

Lady Susan Walker rules the San Cristobal Island with an iron fist, forcing local men to work on her sugar cane plantation alongside black slaves. Her latest husband is missing, and she's suspected of being a black widow. A young slave named Joshua plans a revolt, but his father, a devout man, is fearful of the consequences. Meanwhile, Sir Charles Walker, Susan's brother-in-law, goes undercover as Ronald Sopwith to investigate his brother's disappearance, only to find himself entangled in Susan's web of seduction and deceit.
