A hunchback, who makes his home in a UCLA tower, is inspired to take action after witnessing a girl being pushed around on campus. He swings into action, attacking the aggressor and then escaping from the police. Eventually, the girl and her boyfriend ask the hunchback to stay with them in the tower, and he learns about life on Earth from the professors. As he navigates his new relationships, the hunchback, now calling himself Bob, faces challenges and arguments, but ultimately resolves his friendships and finds a sense of belonging.
