A young woman named Nancy boards a local train in Bandra, accompanied by her uncle Tom, who befriends her and introduces her to Tony. Nancy's mother, Rosie, wants her to marry a wealthy man, but Nancy and Tony start to get to know each other. Tom asks Nancy to introduce him to her mother, and when Rosie meets Tony, she discovers he earns only 300 a month, compared to Nancy's 700. Despite this, Rosie is optimistic that Tony's salary will increase to 1000 a month after a probation period. However, a misunderstanding soon arises between the two lovers.
