Leonardo Ferri, a renowned painter, struggles with mental issues and a lack of creativity, causing tension in his relationship with girlfriend Flavia. They rent a country villa outside Venice, hoping a change of scenery will inspire Leonardo. Alone at the villa with the housekeeper, Egle, Leonardo becomes fascinated with the story of Vanda Valier, a 15-year-old girl killed during the war.
