The story of Gon Freecss, a young boy who leaves his village on his own journey as a Hunter. During this challenging journey, Gon encounters Leorio, Kurapika, and Killua.
Gon Freecss was abandoned as an infant years ago, 12 years later discovering he is a Hunter with a license that allows him access to anywhere in the world and do anything. Gon must face numerous trials to become one and gain more insight into his estranged father.
