The research vessel Calico's crew rescues Godzooky, Godzilla's young offspring, and makes a pact to care for him in exchange for Godzilla's help if needed. This turns out to be a fortunate decision, as the Calico's investigations often lead to encounters with giant beasts. When faced with these threats, the crew can summon Godzilla to confront the danger using a special signaling device or Godzooky's call.
