A young Hungarian director, Tamás, aspires to create his first feature film, "The Guilty City", despite lacking the necessary funds. His script attracts the attention of an American producer, Alex Brubeck, who offers to meet with Tamás. With the support of his two brothers, Ákos, a successful manager with a promiscuous streak, and András, a struggling poet, Tamás attempts to impress the producer and secure funding for his project, but unexpected obstacles arise.
