Three friends, Jennifer, Karen, and Vicki, accept an offer of affordable lodging at a rural farmhouse from a friendly but suspicious museum owner, Ernest Keller, due to a lack of available accommodations in town for a holiday celebration. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious entity has been living in the basement for over two decades, tended by Keller and his reclusive sister, Virginia. As the entity escapes, it begins to terrorize and murder the women, one by one, in gruesome yet seemingly accidental incidents.
