The Macomber Affair background

The Macomber Affair

A love triangle unfolds in British East Africa between a dissatisfied wife, her timid and fearful husband, and a charismatic English big-game hunter who disrupts their marriage.

The story follows Robert Wilson, a safari guide, as he takes the Macombers on a hunting trip in Kenya. Tensions rise as the couple's annoying behavior towards each other and towards Wilson becomes increasingly unbearable. A dramatic turn of events unfolds when Francis Macomber is shot by his wife, leaving the question of whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
