The Extraordinary Seaman background

The Extraordinary Seaman

A ghostly World War I veteran, Lt. Commander Finchhaven, was condemned to roam the seas after a disastrous first mission, where he died drunk on duty, seeking redemption for his past mistakes.

Lt. Commander Finchhaven, a ghostly relic from World War I, is doomed to sail the seas until he can redeem his past mistakes. During World War II, he encounters four American sailors who agree to help him repair his ship in exchange for a passage to Australia. The crew raids a village to obtain batteries for the engine and meets feisty Jennifer Winslow, who joins them in return for a spot on the ship. Once they reach open waters, Finchhaven's ghostly nature is revealed, and with the help of Lt. Krim and Jennifer, they sink a Japanese cruiser.
