Susan Winter embarks on an expedition to a remote Mexican area to find her fiancé, whose plane crashed there. With the promise of uranium, she secures funding from Martin Melville and is joined by guide Russ Bradford and pilot Lee Brand. After their plane crashes, they find themselves stranded in a radioactive valley inhabited by mutated creatures, including giant insects, lizards, and a 25-foot-tall, deformed human.
