The movie tells the story of Hemant Shah, a clerk who falls in love with Priya, but her father wants her to marry a wealthy person. After Hemant's brother loses money in the stock market, Hemant invests in shares to pay off his brother's debts and eventually becomes a successful broker. He marries Priya and lives a luxurious life, inspiring common people to invest in the market. However, a journalist, Meera Rao, discovers that Hemant has been involved in a scam at the National Bank of India, causing trouble for him.
