In ancient Egypt, under Persian rule, Prince Kenamon befriends a strong man named Maciste after a life-threatening encounter. Kenamon falls in love with Nofret, a beautiful girl, and shares his concerns about the people's hunger and poverty with his father, Pharaoh Amirteo I. However, his father is killed by his wife Smedes, who is allied with the Persians. Kenamon becomes Pharaoh, but is drugged by Smedes and loses his willpower. Maciste leads a rebellion against the Persians, freeing Nofret and gathering an army to defeat the Persian troops and palatial guard. With Smedes and the Grand Visir killed, Kenamon regains his strength and thanks Maciste for his help before marrying Nofret.
