Conceited war correspondent Steve Kimball finds himself escorting a group of stranded teenage entertainers, including the fiery redhead Bridget, as he tries to secure a ticket back to the USA from occupied Paris.

A conceited war correspondent agrees to escort a group of stranded teenage entertainers from occupied Paris back to the United States, including a redheaded girl who is not actually part of the group. He uses her as a "love code" to sneak his stories past censors, but the group's attempts to keep him out of their hair are complicated by the presence of an adult glamour model sharing their shipboard quarters.
