In the Vietnam War of 1970, a US Marine unit raids a village, killing its inhabitants and stealing their gold, much to the dismay of their Vietnamese translator and guide. Fifteen years later, the unit's former members begin to be brutally murdered one by one. The investigation is led by Major Brad Cooper, an Australian military officer tasked with uncovering the identity of the killer.
