Gene takes on a group of high-tech rustlers who utilize advanced methods such as airplanes, shortwave radios, and refrigerated trucks to carry out their illegal activities.

In this western, a cunning cattle thief, Shannon, employs cutting-edge methods to steal livestock, using an airplane to locate the cattle, a shortwave radio to coordinate with his accomplices, and trucks to transport the stolen beef. When the aging Sheriff Doniphan fails to apprehend the rustlers, he is replaced by a skilled detective from the East. However, Doniphan's loyal deputy, Gene, is suspicious of Shannon and sets a trap to catch him and his gang in the act.
