In 18th century Algiers, Captain Ahmed, the Emir's trusted guard, and Princess Nadja are abducted by Bedouins on orders of Grand Vizier Firous, who plans to pose as her rescuer. After escaping, they take refuge in the Casbah, a sanctuary for outcasts. Ahmed pulls off the Casbah's greatest heist by plundering the palace treasury, only to face Firous' troops in a brutal assault.
