A former soldier returns to his hometown, where he's met with hostility, particularly from his father, a pigeon enthusiast. The soldier is drawn back to confront his past and confess a secret to his childhood friend, who's struggling to raise her child after her husband's untimely death. As they face a bleak economic landscape, they're pulled into a dangerous underworld. The soldier must help his friend, but their situation only gets darker.
