This movie is based on the true story of the second battle of Yeonpyeong, focusing on the young soldiers who fought and died in the battle. The battle occurred on June 29th, 2002, in the Yellow Sea, when North-Korean vessels crossed the NLL and attacked the South-Korean patrol boat Chamsuri 357, resulting in the deaths of six men and injuries to 18 others.
