At the grandest hotel in Paris, the royal suite is the only room large enough to store the Grand Duchess Swana's precious jewels. Three Russian men check in, waiting for a higher-ranking official to arrive and facilitate the sale. Instead, they are surprised by Ninotchka, a stern and captivating woman who has been sent to oversee the transaction. As she works with Count Leon, the Grand Duchess's loyal retainer, a romantic spark begins to form between them, but the Grand Duchess demands that Ninotchka leave the count alone in order to relinquish her claim to the jewels.
