"Niagra, Niagra" starts in a Poughkeepsie drugstore, where Marcie, a charming heroine, has a habit of shoplifting. She accidentally bumps into Seth, a reserved outsider, who's also on a shoplifting spree. Marcie invites Seth to join her on a road trip to Canada to find a black hairstyling head, and they set off in Seth's old station wagon, headed to a Toronto toy store. Along the way, Marcie opens up to Seth about her Tourette's syndrome, leading to unexpected stops at liquor stores and pharmacies in upstate New York.
