Based on a true story from 1940s Uruguay, the film centers on Laura, who is determined to leave a mysterious house unscathed, despite its hidden secrets. She and her father, Wilson, settle into a cottage they plan to renovate before the owner puts it up for sale. As night falls, everything seems peaceful, but when Laura hears an unsettling sound coming from the upper floor, she waits anxiously for her father to return from investigating.
