Alexandra Foster, the Mayor of Hawkins Bay, is faced with a crisis as the bridge repair delays cause businesses to suffer during the holiday season. To save them, she organizes a Christmas market, but the only available location is the Hawkins Mill site, which has been closed for 30 years due to a feud between the Foster and Hawkins families. The only remaining Hawkins, Darcy, is reclusive and lives with his grandmother Mar at the Hawkins estate. Alex must convince Darcy to support the redevelopment of the mill site, which he initially opposes due to past family conflicts. As they work together, Alex and Darcy develop feelings for each other, but their romance is threatened by the lingering mistrust between their families.
