In India, a nation consumed by cricket, farmer Anwar Khan is a rare exception who despises the sport. His wife Saida, on the other hand, is a huge fan. Their son Iqbal, who is deaf and mute, shares his mother's passion for cricket. Despite his disability, Iqbal's talent is recognized by Guruji, a renowned coach, who recruits him. However, Guruji later drops Iqbal due to a dispute with another pupil. Iqbal finds a new mentor in Mohit, an alcoholic farmhand, who helps him qualify for the Andhra Pradesh team. With Mohit's guidance, Iqbal gains a spot in the Indian team, but his father's disapproval and Guruji's favoritism towards his star pupil threaten to derail his cricketing dreams.
