Darcy, a renowned pop vocalist, struggles to revive her fading career as she self-promotes her new demo to record companies. She accepts her sister's invitation to spend Christmas in their hometown, where she discovers her recently-widowed sister's daughter Megan is struggling to find her place at school. Megan, rejected from the school's caroling group, the Herald Angels, by her teacher and Darcy's high-school adversary Adam, is in need of confidence. Darcy decides to form her own caroling group, competing against Adam's, and in the process, reevaluates her priorities among music, family, and romance.
