The Human Hibernation Project, spearheaded by Officer Collins, aims to store subjects indefinitely until they're needed. The first test subject, Joe Bauers, is chosen for being average, not superior. After the experiment, the base is closed and the President denies knowledge. Joe wakes up 500 years later, finds he's the smartest guy alive, and must solve the country's dwindling plant population problem to receive a presidential pardon, all while avoiding a bizarre execution.
