A group of soldiers, forever changed by a brutal ambush in Iraq, return home to struggle with the psychological scars of war. Among them are a surgeon haunted by the horrors he witnessed, a teacher grappling with her new identity as a single mother after losing a hand, an infantryman still reeling from the loss of his best friend, and a soldier tormented by the memory of killing a civilian woman. As they navigate group therapy, V.A. services, and fragmented relationships, their flashbacks and emotions continue to linger, making it difficult for them to find peace and adjust to civilian life.
