Stan Meijer, a good boy from Venlo, grows up feeling neglected by his mother and abandoned by his biological father. He turns to a life of crime with his friends Maikel and Sef, getting arrested and released without Maikel and Sef. After a botched hold-up, the trio fears retaliation from a Turkish crime boss, but instead becomes embroiled in a gang war they don't understand.
