Liviu and Julia, a Romanian count and his wife, escape World War II and their past by moving to a tropical island with their servants. However, their peaceful retreat is disrupted when uninvited friends arrive, depleting their supplies and killing all the island's animals. Left on the island are Liviu, Julia, their friend Larson, and one servant, Eusebio. With no way to communicate with the outside world and limited resources, tensions rise between the three men and Julia, threatening their idyllic lifestyle.
