In 1980s Czechoslovakia, talented sprinter Anna is selected for the national team and begins training for the Olympic Games. To improve her performance, she's secretly given anabolic steroids as part of a medical program. Her results improve, but after collapsing during a training session, Anna discovers the truth about the drugs. Despite her mother's concerns, Anna decides to continue training without steroids, even though it may jeopardize her Olympic chances.
