In 1856, the true events on Beaver Island, Michigan, surrounding King James Strang, unfolded. After Reverend Peter Wiggenstein was murdered, the five island families decided to secretly bury him on Graves Island, bringing an end to America's only monarch. However, this event also birthed an evil that would haunt the island and its families for generations to come.
