In South Mongolia's Gobi Desert, a family of nomadic shepherds welcomes the birth of their camel herd. One camel's delivery is particularly challenging, but with the family's help, a rare white colt is born. However, the mother camel rejects the newborn, refusing to provide milk or maternal care. As all hope seems lost, the nomads send their two young sons on a perilous journey through the desert to find a musician who may be able to save the colt's life.
