Cry of the Hunted background

Cry of the Hunted

A relentless lawman doggedly pursues a cunning fugitive, driven by an unyielding obsession to bring him to justice.

Lt. Tunner oversees the maximum-security section of Bradville State Penitentiary and is determined to extract information from prisoner Jory, who has remained silent about his involvement in a bank robbery. When Jory escapes, Tunner believes he's heading back to his wife in Louisiana's bayou country. As Tunner pursues Jory, he faces not only the escaped prisoner but also the dangers of the swamp and the locals who will protect their own. The cat-and-mouse game between Tunner and Jory is complicated by their mutual respect and admiration for each other, which may be stronger than Tunner's feelings for his own colleagues, including his boss, Sheriff Brown, and Sgt. Goodwin, who is waiting for Tunner to make a mistake.
