Jesús, a young farmer from rural Mexico, leaves his home to pursue his dream of playing soccer for Club Puebla. Instead, he's sold to a sweatshop in Los Angeles, where he's subjected to an 18-hour work schedule and brutal treatment by the boss, El Jefe. Despite the hardships, Jesús finds comfort in Elena, a girl who was also betrayed and sent to America under false pretenses. When Elena goes missing and another worker is beaten, Jesús decides to take a risk and make a daring escape.
