Trevor, an adolescent, is a target of bullying at school. Despite being less bullied now, parents and teachers still fear him due to a previous phony bomb threat. The "Trogs", a group of outcasts, are his only friends. As violence escalates between the Jocks and Trogs, Trevor becomes the prime suspect for any misfortune, even if he didn't cause it. One teacher believes in Trevor and casts him in a provocative play about school shootings. The situation culminates when other students plan to bring guns to school and kill everyone in the cafeteria.
