A retelling of the Biblical story where Pharaoh Ramses II orders the death of all Hebrew children, yet Moses is saved by a royal Princess and raised as Mermefta's brother. God calls him to lead his people out of Egypt to the promised land. Initially reluctant, Moses accepts the task despite feeling unworthy. After several plagues, Mermefta reluctantly allows the Hebrews to leave. He pursues them with an army in a miraculous parting of the Red Sea, saving the people from annihilation. Manna from heaven prevents starvation, and the Ten Commandments are given by Moses. They worship the Golden Calf, but forty years of wandering in the wilderness follow before reaching their home, which Moses witnesses but does not enter.
