Beginning in 1880 with Jonathan Joestar's maturation and conflict with adoptive brother Dio Brando, Part I follows Joseph Joestar as he masters the Ripple to combat ancient super-beings called Pillar Men who created the Stone Mask. In Part III, Jotaro Kujo travels from Tokyo to Cairo to save his mother by defeating a resurrected archenemy, Dio, and in Part IV, an Arrow manifesting latent Stand abilities travels through Morioh in 1999, where Josuke Higashikata (illegitimate son of Joseph) seeks out the culprit behind decade-long homicides. In Part V, Giorno Giovanna pursues his ambition within Neapolitan mafia by subverting Passione's most powerful gang.
