Department S is an elite Interpol team that takes on cases that other groups have failed to solve. The team consists of Jason King, a writer of mystery novels who uses his fictional hero Mark Caine to solve real-life crimes, American Stewart Sullivan, a practical and cynical fighter, and Annabelle Hurst, a scientist and analyst who is often at odds with Jason. Despite their differences, the trio is fiercely loyal to each other, but also competitive, with Jason and Annabelle constantly trying to one-up each other by solving cases using their preferred methods. The team is led by Sir Curtis Seretse.
