A free-spirited young woman, raised by her laid-back single father, becomes entangled in a fatal incident and seeks redemption by reluctantly joining the war effort as a nurse.

A free-spirited young woman, raised by her laid-back father, is drawn into a fatal accident and must take a chance to escape responsibility by joining the war effort as a nurse. She travels to England, where she's assigned to a hospital under the strict supervision of a matron who turns out to be her long-lost mother.
